The Hunt Continues

I'm pretty excited about the group of houses we're looking at tomorrow with our realtor. All are on the west side of Denver, some in Lakewood, and some in Littleton. We're taking our time and really trying to find "our" house. The biggest items on our list are mature trees, fenced backyard, and an open kitchen. Other priorities are proximity to light rail and walkable neighborhoods. So far we've seen awful houses in just the right area, and great houses in areas that leave much to be desired. The one house so far that we've loved only has two bedrooms and one bathroom, so we took that one off the list. Trying to keep an open mind, and let patience keep me clear-eyed.

On the lookout...

    1. Thank you! We are slowing down the search for the holiday season, which is good, because we do need to focus on some other things. :)

  2. You've got the same checklist for a dream house as we do! Good luck.

    1. Thank you! We learned through our experience buying this house, to try hard to stick to our basic list. Since we bought this house under IMPENDING DOOM, we let go of most everything we wanted, and now we can tell we're not happy without those things. Live and learn! (And then get out!)

    2. I didn't know you very well when you bought the current house and I was surprised to learn you were buying in a new subdivision. It didn't seem to fit w/ the mental image I had of your lifestyle -- and I guess I was right.

    3. Yep, you were right. We had one weekend to find a place, in a huge city that we don't know very well. I shouldn't be so shocked it isn't working out.
